Safety Standards


We care for Safety, Security and Health of our staff and workmen. We adopt systems for their implementation as follows:

 

Safety, Security And Health System Guidelines

 

The guidelines of the Safety, Security & Health Policy can be highlighted in various sections as under:

 

1. The Project Manager is nominated for incorporation & follow up of all safety procedures at the construction site, both for sub contractors & the company’s own deployed personnel.

 

2. A fully equipped first aid medical kit is provided at site.

 

3. The construction site is under the watch and ward of security personnel. A proper record of all incoming and outgoing personnel, material and equipment is maintained. This is checked and verified by the Project Manager and the Client’s authorized representative, if desired.

 

4. Throughout the period of construction of the works the whole area of operation is maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition & all the material is arranged in an orderly manner.

 

5. A detailed site management organization for safety is made as follows:-

 

a. The detailed site management and supervisory structure for safety showing our safety staff’s role and of the role of our sub/contractors safety representatives is made.

b. A system for notifying all the employees and those of the sub-contractors including site monitoring staff.

 

6. Upto date records of all relevant documentation and certificates in regard to safety are maintained till the completion of all works on site. The relevant documents envisaged include :-

 

a. Site registers for lifting appliances , cranes, slings, hooks, lifting beams and tackle for construction of the works either mobile or fixed.

 

b. Method Statements : Guidelines for method statement are given seperately.

 

c. Test Certificates, if any, from manufacturing works and site.

i)    Civil
ii)   Plumbing
iii)  Electrical

 

d. Site Photographic evidence as agreed with the Engineer.

e. Safety Reports.

f. Health and Safety File- Consisting of safety requirements for operation and maintenance if  any.

 

7. All items required for lifting arrangements are scrutinized and verified. Site tests are carried out with adequate notice being given to the client engineer. All types of lifting equipment are suitably marked with embossed labels or paint to show clearly the safe working loads.

8. All operations, or users of portable tools equipment will be competent to use the equipment & will be fully familiar with the equipment limitations, handling and maintenance records.

9. During the work appropriate personnel protective equipment will be made available and used on site by the workers and sub-contractors.

10. An emergency plan is made in conjunction with; the clients engineer, sub contractors and the Project Manager taking into consideration the practicalities of assistance from the locally available emergency services and the time needed, for example, to convey an injured worker to a suitably equipped hospital.
